As a backend engineer, you will build and expand APIs and services and work on launching our suit of products. You’ll get to work with other engineers to build delightful features that span various applications and systems, as well as our support team to understand and solve our users’ pain points.

You will:

• Enjoy and have experience building APIs
• Optimize core logic and services
• Write, test, and review application code
• Document the systems you build
• Enjoy working with a diverse group of people to define new features
• Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design

You have:

• Positive experience working with production systems
• Value respectful and supportive collaboration environment
• At least 3 years experience building production applications
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6)
• Solid knowledge of testing principles
• Production experience working with Node.js and NoSQL databases

Bonus points for production experience with:

• RethinkDB
• Socket.io
• FeathersJS
• Typescript
